The winter season has officially come to an end, bringing the first spring sports edition of “Sports Paws.”

Jasmine Martin and Laynie Barrentine anchor all of the coverage from the past week.

The season came to an end for the Quinnipiac men’s ice hockey team as they fell to Providence in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Mark Spillane talks about what the future will look like for this team. Also, a member of the hockey team signs with an NHL team and becomes the first Quinnipiac hockey player to play a game in the NHL.

Both lacrosse teams continued their seasons on the road. Q30 Sports’ Giovanni Mio reports on why Kelly Babstock decided to switch from women’s hockey to women’s lacrosse during her senior year.

Darnell Ragland is also in the studio and he sits down with the goalie of the men’s lacrosse team, Gil Connors.

The baseball team continued its season against Rider, but came out on the losing end 3-2. In other baseball news, John Delaney has been named the new coach of the baseball team starting in the 2015 season after current head coach Dan Gooley retires at the season’s end.

The seasons will continue in the next week after a mixture of rain and snow forced many postponements and cancellations in the past couple days among many of the team’s games.
