Quinnipiac women’s soccer aims for a more successful season after going 3-8-5 overall and 3-3-4 in conference play last year. Head coach Dave Clark will have 19 returning players this Fall as the Bobcats face a challenging 16 game season that features a bulk of its schedule on the road.

Quinnipiac’s non-conference schedule may not be the hardest in terms of its opponents, but six of the seven games will be played away, which will test the durability and strength of this years team. The Bobcats will face Yale for the first time in three years and take on a fairly consistent squad from Saint Joseph’s of Pennsylvania, but the most challenging of non-conference opponents will likely be the Brown Bears, who defeated the Bobcats in Hamden, 1-0, last season and finished the year with a 10-6-1 record.

This season will also feature nine conference games that’ll include a difficult three game stretch in mid-October facing Rider, Marist, and Monmouth. All three teams finished with a winning record in the MAAC this past season. Monmouth will of course be the biggest challenge after going undefeated in the conference during the regular season with a record of 8-0-2 as well as winning the MAAC Championship in Disney. The Bobcats will have to travel to Monmouth where the Hawks haven’t lost since October of 2012.

Quinnipiac will begin its season on the road against the Maine Black Bears on Aug. 22.
