The following information was discussed at Nov. 2, 2016 Quinnipiac Student Government Association general board meeting:
Possible Changes in Curriculum
– More electives offered in different fields
– UC requirements (science, humanities, etc.) classes geared towards majors
– ‘Reading period’ before finals
Parking Issue
– Meetings set up with school officials to discuss ways to get more parking
– Mark Thompson, Shannon Grasso and others agree with SGA and students
– Ideas include expanding North Lot onto parts of the field and a parking garage on main campus
Caf Changes Coming
– Additions to caf on main campus to be announced in the near future
– Chobani station is being added to the Rocky Top cafeteria
– More quick options like chicken tenders are being added as well
Other Initiatives
– Using Qcash to buy textbooks from the bookstore (complete)
– Designated smoking areas on campus (in progress)
– Better desks and chairs in tator hall classrooms (in progress)
