With the holiday season right around the corner Quinnipiac has been getting into the spirit and giving back to their community. Thanks to “Community Action Project” partnered with the Salvation Army students and faculty can donate toys to children in need.

Community Action Project is sponsoring Project Angel Tree, an event where students pledge to take a tag that is marked with a whose family who is may be struggling this time of year.  On this tag it lists the students age and gender along with a toy the child would like and their clothes/ shoe sizes.  When a student pledges to take this tag they also pledge to buy this child something to make their holiday morning extra special.

After a successful drive last year, the Salvation Army gave over 100 more tags to the school, and Quinnipiac students have not disappointed. Q30News’ Mike Iozzo spoke to the students involved in the project to better understand why Project Angel Tree is so special.
