Calan, a Welsh folk band, visited the Hartford Meeting House on their Autumn Thunder Tour of the United States in October.

Haley Ruccio interviewed Patrick Rimes, one of the members of the band who plays a multitude of instruments such as the fiddle and bagpipes.

Rimes spoke about how it felt to be back in the States again after having their last US tour cut short by the coronavirus pandemic. He shared insights into the band’s music-making process, how Welsh culture influences their songs and how each member of the band brings their own talents to the table.
