Despite Marvel stating that they would be cutting down on the number of projects they release each year, their 2026 television lineup is packed. Just announced at New York Comic Con on Oct. 11, they will be releasing five shows next year on Disney+.
Be warned, this article will feature some spoilers.
Marvel Television’s Wonder Man
Their first 2026 release is Wonder Man. Originally scheduled for release at the end of this year, Wonder Man will now release on January 27, 2026. The show will follow aspiring Hollywood actor Simon Williams, played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. In an encounter with Trevor Slattery, the Mandarin from Iron Man 3, he learns that the legendary director Von Kovak is remaking the superhero film “Wonder Man.” Taking place behind the scenes of a movie, the show will certainly poke fun at the entertainment industry and Marvel themselves. Whether the series will be a hit remains in question since the character is not very well known, but be sure to check it out this January.
Marvel Television’s Daredevil Born Again Season 2
Netflix’s Daredevil is seen by many as one of Marvel’s best TV shows, and people were excited when it was announced that he would be getting a new one set fully in the MCU. Season 1 of the show saw Matt Murdock, played by Charlie Cox, step away from the Daredevil role after the murder of his friend Foggy Nelson. With Wilson Fisk, played by Vincent D’Onofrio, returning to New York and becoming the Mayor, and the serial killer Muse out and about, Murdock slowly had to step back into his other life.
The end of season one saw Mayor Fisk enacting his Safer Streets initiative, making all vigilante activity illegal and dealt with by his Anti-Vigilante Task Force. In season two, Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones will be making a return to help Daredevil take down Wilson Fisk. Fans are hoping that the other members of The Defenders, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, make a return, but we’ll just have to wait and see. A third season is already in the works. Catch Daredevil Born Again Season 2 when it comes out on March 4, 2026.
Marvel Animation’s X-Men ‘97 Season 2
One of my favorite Marvel shows, X-Men ‘97, is finally making its return in the Summer of 2026. The first season revived the original X-Men show from the ’90s, picking up right where it left off. It continues to deal with the prejudice and discrimination that comes at the core of the X-Men Characters, and with Professor Xavier absent for most of the season, we got to see more of Magneto’s side and how far he is willing to push people to get mutant equality.
The show featured some of Marvel’s best animation, and with its emotional and action-packed episodes, it quickly became beloved by fans. The first season ended with the X-Men split across the past and the future, meeting different versions of one of their toughest villains, Apocalypse. I can’t wait for X-Men ‘97 to return next sxfummer, and I hope you tune in too.
Marvel Animation’s Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man (YFNSM) is swinging back onto your screen in the Fall of 2026. Originally announced to be an origin story for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, YFNSM turned into its own story set in a completely different universe. Fans were initially hesitant about the show with its different animation style and new cast, but it turned out to be a surprise hit. Not too much is known about the plot of the second season, but we do know that it will introduce Venom and Gwen Stacy/Spider-Gwen to this universe. Catch Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 next Fall.
Marvel Television’s Vision Quest
The final part of the trilogy, Vision Quest, which started with WandaVision back in 2021, is coming to an end late next year. The series will follow White Vision, who, at the end of WandaVision, gained Vision’s memories. The series will also feature the return of many other A.I.s made by Tony Stark, including E.D.I.T.H., from Spider-Man: Far From Home, F.R.I.D.A.Y. from Avengers: Age of Ultron, J.A.R.V.I.S. from Iron Man, and even James Spader reprising his role as Ultron.
Similar to Agatha All Along, which brought back Billy Maximoff, Vision Quest will bring back Tommy Maximoff, this time played by Ruaridh Mollica. Agatha and Billy are rumored to appear near the end of the show as they look for Tommy and are also rumored to find out that Wanda Maximoff is alive. Vision Quest will consist of 8 episodes and premiere in late 2026.
With Marvel only releasing 2 movies next year, these 5 shows will certainly keep the fans happy and entertained. Being one of these fans myself, I can’t wait to watch them all, and you might even see me cover a few in some more articles. Follow me on Instagram @zachfornalmedia to keep up to date on my work and be sure to check out these shows next year.
