Quinnipiac Women’s Ice Hockey Receives ECAC Hockey Schedule

With the puck dropping in less than three days on the 2020-2021 season, the Quinnipiac women’s ice hockey team received some more good news yesterday in the form of a lengthened schedule filled with ECAC Hockey matchups.

The Bobcats begin their season Sunday in Hamden with two games in back-to-back days against Sacred Heart. Quinnipiac will then begin conference play on Jan. 8 when they will travel to Hamilton, New York for a match-up against the #5 Colgate Raiders.

Following their games in New York, the Bobcats will head east to Manchester, New Hampshire to face off against the Saint Anselm Hawks in a home and home series.

The Bobcats will then spend the next two weeks at home with tough games against the #7 Clarkson Golden Knights and against St. Lawrence. Following the homestand, the Bobcats will travel back to New York to take on St. Lawrence in Canton before wrapping up their regular season at home against #5 Colgate and on the road against #7 Clarkson.

Though the schedule is much shorter than usual, the Bobcats will be in control of their own destiny with eight of their games coming against ECAC Hockey opponents who are currently ranked in the top 10 of the USCHO poll. If the Bobcats can start their season fast and pick up some wins against some very stiff competition, then it is likely they will be competing in the NCAA tournament come March.
