The time has finally come for the 2020 E! People’s Choice Awards to release their nomination list. This year’s nominations include exciting movies, TV shows, and some of your favorite social stars. Let’s check out what the best of the best in 2020 has been!

Kim Kardashian was one of many celebrities who was nominated for several awards this year. Kardashian will be taking on The Reality Star of 2020, The Social Celebrity of 2020, and The Style Star of 2020 awards. Megan Thee Stallion is also nominated for a total of 6 awards this year ranging from Female Artist of 2020 to Music Video of 2020. After taking on so many wins at the Emmys, “Schitt’s Creek” is not planning on stopping their winning streak there. The creator of the show, Dan Levy, is nominated for The Comedy TV Star award along with The Male TV Star of 2020 award. 

“Outer Banks” fans do not fret because Chase Stokes is also a part of the nomination list this year! His role as John B. in the Netflix series earned him nominations for The Male TV Star of 2020 and The Drama TV Star of 2020 award. Some fan favorite films that are nominated for The Comedy Movie of 2020 award include “The King of Staten Island,” “The Kissing Booth 2,” “Like a Boss,” “Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga,” “The Lovebirds,”  “The Wrong Missy,” “To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You,” and “Bill & Ted Face The Music.”

Social stars have taken the world by storm, especially this year. In this year’s category for Social Star of 2020, many fans got to recognize some of their favorite Tik Tok stars being nominated. This year’s list includes stars like Addison Rae to Charli D’Amelio, as well as David Dobrik. Fans cannot wait to see who will end up taking home this award!

And for the most adorable category of the night, The Animal Star of 2020, fans can look forward to finding out who the most iconic pet was this year. From Doug the Pug to Esther the Wonder Pig, this is set to be one of the most entertaining wins of the night. 

Last, but certainly not least, is Jennifer Lopez, who will be taking home the award for Icon of 2020. The star never fails to entertain whether on or off the screen and the stage. Lopez has previously been nominated for a People’s Choice Award 6 times and has had a long history in the entertainment industry. Jen Neal, the general manager of E! News spoke about why Lopez deserves this honor. She said, “Jennifer Lopez has an unmatched global appeal and for more than two decades, has given us some of the most iconic, unforgettable performances of all time. For paving the way for artists around the world and single-handedly increasing Latinx representation in music, film, television, and fashion, we’re honoring Jennifer Lopez with The People’s Icon of 2020.”
