While in Q30, Connor was Q30 President for the 2023-24 academic year. His previous professional experience includes working as a News Intern at Fox 56 and WFSB. On his time in Q30 he said, "I am convinced I would not be the same reporter I am now without Q30. Looking back on my experiences within the station, it truly has set me up for success in the professional world. There are so many lessons I have learned and even more friendships that will last a lifetime. The biggest piece of advice I would I give is don’t have regrets. You will never know what path one small decision will lead you down. Even if you don’t like something, you can at least say you tried it. You will thank yourself later for saying “I’m glad I tried this” instead of “I wish tried that” after your four years go by."

On his time in Q30, Sean said "With state of the art equipment at the time, I was able to learn studio production, field producing and post-production before jumping into the real world.”

I also really feel like I got my feet wet with more hands-on deadlines than class work allowed. I also made some of the best life-long friends and connections from Q30. The industry has changed and involved so much since my graduation but my passion for good journalism forever continues. I am currently at a crossroads of career transition and my advice for anyone doing the same, “Don’t be afraid of change. Don’t stay in a space that feels comfortable or even uncomfortable because of the fear of what could be ahead. In the end it will all work out.”
