The Office of Multicultural and Global Education, or OMGE, hosted the first Circle of Perspectives discussion on Thursday, February 27. The series is designed to help the Quinnipiac community feel more comfortable talking about controversial issues. This week’s discussion focused on racism and cultural differences and allowed students to talk about their experiences.
Some students hope to use the information they get from the talks to help them with their career. Graduate student Sidney Stoddard said, “It’s important as a health care provider to know how other people, that you might be treating, feel about different things.”
The next discussion is set for Tuesday, March 4, at 6 p.m. in room 225 of the Carl Hansen Student Center.
