The Jonas Brothers Take the Walk of Fame!
March 23, 2023
On January 30th, 2023, the Jonas Brothers, made up of Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas, became the 2,745th honoree with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for their contribution to the music industry. The ceremony took place at 7060 Hollywood Boulevard, which is where fans can go to see the star for themselves.
In attendance were each of the band members’ families, their parents and, of course, the fourth Jonas Brother, Frankie Jonas. This was a big moment for Nick Jonas in particular because it was the first public appearance of his daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, who was born in January 2022.
During the ceremony, many of the band’s team members spoke on how deserving the brothers are to have a star on the Walk of Fame. Afterward, the brothers had a chance to speak on their prestigious honor. Each thanked their family, wives, children, friends, and creative team while also giving a big thanks to the fans for being a part of their journey to this incredible moment. They ended their speech by announcing that they will be releasing a new album this upcoming May.
The track is entitled “The Album” and consists of songs such as “Wings,” “Vacation Eyes,” “Little Bird” and “Waffle House.” It was originally scheduled to be released on May 5th but was pushed back a week later, making the new date May 12th.
While waiting for their sixth album, fans can check out their latest single, “Wings,” starring Haley Lu Richardson. They debuted the music video on February 24th and have been posting non-stop content to support their newest release.
The song received major support from the fans, especially since Richardson starred in the video. She has been a Jonas Brothers superfan for quite some time now and even had a huge childhood crush on Nick! She proved that dreams do come true as everyone’s eyes were on Richardson and her gushing excitement.
In addition to this, the band announced that they will perform a five-night residency on Broadway at the Marquis Theatre and will be showcasing a different album each night.
Registered fan sales began on February 28th.
The Jonas Brothers started their musical journey back in 2005. They became household names when they starred on Disney Channel in “Camp Rock,” “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam” and their own TV series “Jonas.” They quickly became heartthrobs and recorded four albums during their rise to fame. However, on October 29th, 2013, the band decided to break up.
Nick Jonas went on to make his music and recorded one of the biggest songs of 2014, “Jealous,” which made the Billboard Hot 100. He eventually started to break out into films, starring in “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle,” “Jumanji: The Next Level,” “Chaos Walking,” as well as many other movies. He married actress Priyanka Chopra in 2018 and has one daughter with her.
Joe Jonas started the band, DNCE, back in 2015 with JinJoo Lee, Cole Whittle and Jack Lawless. They became mainstream after their hit “Cake By the Ocean” took the world by storm. However, they have been on hiatus since 2018. More excitingly, Joe married Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner in 2019 and has two children with her. Now, along with his return to the Jonas Brothers, he made his way back to the big screen starring in “Devotion” with Jonathan Majors and Glen Powell.
Kevin Jonas has two daughters with his wife, Danielle Jonas, whom he married in 2009. Together, they starred in “Married to Jonas,” which aired from 2012 until 2013. Now, Kevin hosts the reality show “Claim to Fame” with his youngest brother, Franklin Jonas.
As a band, they announced their comeback on February 28th, 2019 and released the top-selling single “Sucker” one day after. The music video stars each of them with their wives while jump-starting the hearts of every one of their screaming fans. They eventually released their album “Happiness Begins” and haven’t stopped making music since. They also made a documentary about their return called “Chasing Happiness,” which is available on Prime Video. Some of their other songs include “Leave Before You Love Me,” “Who’s In Your Head,” “5 More Minutes,” “X,” “Like It’s Christmas” and “Remember This.”
They have gone on tour twice, performed at the Global Citizen Music Festival, make appearances on various late-night talk shows and have played many Las Vegas residencies.
If there’s anything to remember about the Jonas Brothers, it’s that their success doesn’t stop here. Together, not only as bandmates but as brothers, they are committed to making music that is meaningful to themselves, their families and their fans.
