Robert Lombardo is a professor at Quinnipiac University and Vietnam war veteran. At the age of 20, with only eight weeks of training, he became an Army medic.
On Wednesday, an open discussion was held with Lombardo for students and faculty to attend.
Lombardo shared stories of his time in Vietnam and answered questions from attendees at the event.
The event, which supplied a free lunch, was sponsored by The Herald House for Jewish Life and QU Department of Veteran and Military Affairs.
Lombardo has received five Purple Heart Medals, two Bronze Stars and several other service medals.
After his time in Vietnam, he went to college at Quinnipiac and became involved in radiology.
Lombardo, a married father of three is currently a professor in diagnostic imaging for first-year students at Quinnipiac University.
