A family of felines was found on Monday night in a storm drain in front of Village 540. One student heard meowing coming from the sewer and soon a whole team of students formed to save them.
After long hours and help from Super Paws Rescue, the four kittens were rescued and brought to safety. However, the mother cat was a different story.
According to a press release from Quinnipiac University the mother was always able to get in and out of the drain and was not rescued with her kittens. Fortunately facilities workers found the cat near the Hilltop Parking Lot around noon on Tuesday.
The mother was brought to Super Paws Rescue to be reunited with her four kittens. Super Paws Rescue has already had many requests to adopt the kittens. If you want any more information on the status of the cats health or adoption status you can email superpawrescueinc.org.
