Quinnipiac Introduces President’s Speaker Series

Quinnipiac University is launching a new presidential speaker series titled, “The Way Forward.”

The goal of the series is to unify the Quinnipiac University community with “leaders, visionaries, and established professionals from across the country.”

“The Way Forward” will be a virtual platform to share innovative ideas and to talk about the recent challenges facing society.

This new series will start on June 19 at 1:15 p.m. with Connecticut Gov. Lamont. The discussion will focus on leadership during times of crisis.

As the pandemic continues, Lamont has been reopening the state slowly but has also faced some criticism as well. His plan for reopening Connecticut will enter the second phase on June 17.

The discussion with Lamont will be moderated by President Judy Olian. Those who are planning on watching the discussion are encouraged to register for the first speaker session by June 19.

On June 22, Stewart Bainum, chairman of Choice Hotels, will speak about travel and hotels post-pandemic. The second session of the series will be moderated by President Olian and Monique Drucker, vice president and dean of students.

The sessions will last for 45 minutes each with the opportunity for those watching to ask questions. These sessions are free and open to the public.
