Snow operations are continuing at Quinnipiac University as the snow comes to an end for the night. In a press conference held by Quinnipiac University officials on Monday, snow cleanup has been going on all day and will not stop until midnight.
“All three campuses are pretty much in good shape”, Keith Woodward says. Woodward, Associate Vice President for Facilities Operations, says plow trucks have been active on all three Quinnipiac campuses since 5:00 this morning. He says his biggest concern is when the temperatures drop overnight which could potentially cause roadways to become icy.
“We suspended all shuttle service today, however we hope to start service up again at 6:00”, David Barger says. Barger, Chief of Public Safety, says the decision to resume classes on Tuesday will be decided around 5:30am on Tuesday.
In the meantime, it is suggested that students stay inside and keep hydrated. This is all according to Alice Holland, Director of Student Health Services. “I always recommend that students stay warm and cozy inside and if they need to go outside, they should bundle up with a lot of layers.”
There is no word yet as to whether or not classes will be canceled or if there will be a delayed opening on Tuesday. Students are advised to stay informed by keeping up to date with all Quinnipiac University social media platforms for the latest information.
