December 18, 2018
The No. 5 team in the nation has added more depth to its defense.
Cameron Boudreau, captain of the Boston Jr. Bruins of the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL), is headed to Hamden to join Rand Pecknold’s squad for the second half of the season.
A native of Salem, New Hampshire, Boudreau has recorded 3 goals and 11 assists for 14 points in 29 games for the Junior Bruins.
Boudreau announced his commitment to Quinnipiac on Twitter last February, and will join former Boston Jr. Bruins teammate Guus van Nes in Hamden.
Proud to announce my commitment to play college hockey at Quinnipiac University! Thankful for my family, friends, and coaches that have supported me along the way! #gobobcats

Former Bobcats defenseman Kevin McKernan, an assistant captain from last year’s team before his graduation, also played for the Junior Bruins.
No. 5 Quinnipiac next takes the ice at Nassau Coliseum in New York against Colgate University on December 29.
Quinnipiac formally announced his signing on Tuesday afternoon.
