The No. 5 Quinnipiac men’s soccer team saw its season come to an end in the MAAC semifinals on Thursday night at the hands of the No. 1 Fairfield Stags.
The teams battled for 110 minutes, including two ten minute overtime frames, before settling the contest in penalty kicks.
The Stags netted three of their penalty kicks compared to the Bobcats’ two, earning a victory and a spot in the MAAC Championship game.
Fairfield and the Rider Broncs will play for both a conference title and an NCAA berth on Sunday in Lawrenceville, NJ.
