Quinnipiac Bobcats men’s lacrosse attacker Brian Feldman has made a name for himself after scoring 18 goals just 10 games into his freshman season.
Feldman has earned four MAAC rookie of the week awards and has received one ECAC offensive player of the week award. Feldman leads the Bobcats in shots, so it’s not a surprise that he has collected all of these accolades.
“I got a pretty powerful shot and I like to take advantage of it,” Feldman said. “Most people don’t like to shoot the ball outside 15 yards but, like I said, with speed on a shot it can go anywhere and I like to take advantage of any shot I can get.”
Feldman is second on the team in goals, one behind junior Ryan Keenan and he has seen success in many games this season including scoring 5 goals in a game against Stony Brook on March 31st.
“I actually played against the goalie in high school so you know [it’s] just like getting after another kid I used to play against,” Feldman said. “Talking a little smack to him and just getting in his head, it was a really great feeling.”
With two games left in conference play and three games left in the regular season, Feldman will be looking to provide offense and goal scoring opportunities for the team.
Quinnipiac will play MAAC foe Canisius this Saturday in Buffalo, New York. The Bobcats will look to maintain their position in third place in the MAAC.
