After surprising many last season and advancing to the MAAC tournament semifinals, the Quinnipiac Bobcats laid a dud in this years tournament. The Bobcats fell to the Marist Red Foxes, 80-74 Thursday in the teams’ first round matchup.
“Credit to Marist tonight for how well they shot the ball, they’re a difficult team to guard because they run they’re offense very well,” said Quinnipiac head coach Tom Moore.
Marist shot an incredible 68 percent from three-point range going 13-19 from behind the arc.
Bobcat’s senior forward Ousmane Drame had a career game in what could potentially be his final game in a Bobcat’s uniform. Drame scored 27 points and grabbed 23 rebounds, the latter being a career high.
Quinnipiac’s record stands at 15-15. They are in the mix for a potential postseason tournament invite to either the CIT or CBI.
