The opportunity of a lifetime stands in front of 45 men donning blue and gold jerseys this weekend in College Park, Md. A crew that has never been to the NCAA Tournament’s first round, is searching for a miracle. The opposition? Twelve-time National Champion, undefeated in Big Ten play for the third time in program history, and No. 1 team in the nation, the Maryland Terrapins.
Sunday afternoon at 12:30 p.m. on ESPNU upstart Quinnipiac faces powerhouse Maryland for a spot in the men’s lacrosse Elite 8. It’s the first time these programs have ever met.
