The 2015-16 Quinnipiac men’s ice hockey out of conference schedule will feature several Hockey East opponents including the Frozen Four bound Boston University Terriers.
The Bobcats will host the Terriers and six other non-conference games including two against St. Cloud State, and one versus Maine, Massachusetts, Bentley, and Holy Cross. Quinnipiac will travel to Holy Cross, Massachusetts, Maine, and Northeastern. The Bobcats will also play Connecticut for the second consecutive season at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport.
The 12 non-conference games for next season were announced on Monday via Chip Malafronte on the New Haven Register’s hockey blog, but Malafronte said the dates of the games won’t be announced until a later date.
The blog post notes that the St. Cloud State series will be in October, while the one with Massachusetts is a home-and-away series on Thanksgiving weekend. The series with St. Cloud State comes after the Huskies hosted the Bobcats for two games in January of this season. The two squads split the series with St. Cloud State winning the first game 3-2, while Quinnipiac won the second game 4-1.
Boston University’s visit to Connecticut will also include a game against the Yale Bulldogs in New Haven. This confirms a report from Malafronte from back in October that the Bobcats will host the Terriers next year before traveling to Boston for one game during the 2016-17 season.

The game between Boston and Quinnipiac will mark the first time in history that the two squads have met.
The Bobcats’ season ended last Friday when they lost 4-1 to North Dakota and the Terriers will face the same North Dakota squad on April 9 at 8:30 p.m. in the national semifinal.
