The Quinnipiac Bobcats opened ECAC play on Friday night with a 5-0 victory over the Colgate Raiders. Bobcats sophomore Sam Anas lead the charge early on, scoring twice in the first five minutes of the game, one of which coming on the power play.
Quinnipiac made the score 3-0 in the second with a goal from Soren Jonzzon. But the Bobcats weren’t done there. The third period saw Quinnipiac put two more past defending ECAC Goalie of the Year Charlie Finn. The goals were scored by Landon Smith and Tim Clifton. Following the five-goal performance from the Bobcats, Colgate head coach Don Vaughn was forced to pull his star goaltender for the final 16 minutes of the game.
