Injuries have been the main reason for the struggle of the women’s volleyball team as of late. Coming into the teams matchup versus Manhattan on Sunday, Quinnipiac was sporting a five match losing streak.
However, that streak came to an end as the Bobcats defeated the Jaspers quite soundly 3-1 in this match.
Freshman setter Morgan Sherwin had herself a breakout game this afternoon. Sherwin led all players with 19.5 points, and was tied for first with 16 kills with Kaleigh Oates.
Other standouts for Quinnipiac included:
- Kaleigh Oates: 16 kills, 5 digs
- Natalie Alechko: 10 kills, 9 digs
- Maria Pansari: 49 assists, 7 digs
QU (6-7 MAAC) will host Fairfield (11-0 MAAC) on Friday at 7PM.
