This week’s edition of Sports Paws was hosted by Liz Flynn and Katie O’Keefe!

Liz and Katie began the show off by recapping the Quinnipiac women’s ice hockey teams playoff series against the Princeton Tigers. However, the Bobcats dropped the series 2-1 and were eliminated from the ECAC playoffs.

The focus was then shifted to the Quinnipiac men’s ice hockey team who faced off against rival Yale, in the second installment of the Battle of Whitney Ave. of the year. The Bobcats cruised past the Bulldogs winning 5-0. Men’s ice hockey beat reporters Steven Pappas, Tom Krosnowski, and Patrick Flatley then provided their thoughts on who Bobcats do and do not want to face come ECAC playoff time.

From the ice to the field, the Quinnipiac women’s lacrosse team faced off against the University of Connecticut this past week, however they lost 21-4 and are now 1-3 on the young season. Women’s lacrosse beat reporter TJ Mabardy was joined in studio by Quinnipiac women’s lacrosse player Megan Szawloski to discuss her outlook on the season and what to expect this year.

Meanwhile the men’s basketball team hosted Marist and played a very strong game, winning handily, 71-52. Liz was then joined by Quinnipiac men’s basketball beat reporter Chris Dacey in studio to discuss Quinnipiac’s performance against Marist and what the Bobcats will need to do to clinch a first-round bye in the MAAC playoffs.

Liz and Katie then finished off the show with everyone’s favorite segment, the Top 5 plays of the week.
