Jon Surratt and Kylicia Smith host this week’s edition of SportsPaws.
Jon and Kylicia started by talking about the MLB playoffs with the Houston Astros and the Tampa Bay Rays. Also, they were talking about the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Atlanta Braves. They previewed the World Series matchup that came out of these two matchups.
After baseball, the two shifted to the NFL. They discussed the big games of the week that included Cleveland Browns vs. Pittsburgh Steelers and Chicago Bears vs. Carolina Panthers. The two were also joined by Dylan Sommer who discussed the best of the best teams, the worst of the worst teams, and an update from the NFL regarding COVID-19.
Jon and Kylicia then started to talk Quinnipiac sports. Eric Kerr interviewed Trisha Fabbri of the Women’s Basketball team to discuss how the team has been dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic and how the new members of the team are adjusting to life on campus. Eric also joined Jon and Kylicia to talk about the preview of the women’s basketball season. Jon and Kylicia also reflected back on this week in Quinnipiac sports history when a new scoreboard was put in the then TD Bank Sports Center, which is now the People’s United Center. They also reflected on the matchup of the Men’s Ice Hockey team vs. Uconn.
Finally, the two talked a little college football and reviewed some of the biggest games of the week. They also previewed what local teams are playing when.
