Sports Paws: 11/04/19
November 5, 2019
This week’s edition of Sports Paws was hosted by Liz Flynn and Eric Kerr.
The show started off by recapping the women’s soccer team’s win against Siena and MAAC playoff quarterfinal win over Marist. Women’s soccer beat reporters Shannen Tierney and Roberto Casillas gave their predictions for the rest of the MAAC women’s soccer playoffs and predicted that Monmouth would come out on top.
Meanwhile the men’s soccer team played host to Fairfield on their senior day and came out on top, beating the Stags 1-0 thanks to an Eamon Whalen goal.
The men’s and women’s ice hockey teams had busy weekends. The men’s team headed to the desert for a rematch of last year’s NCAA playoffs against the Arizona State Sun Devils. Quinnipiac dropped both games in Arizona.
The women’s team also had two road games this weekend, first traveling to Ithaca, New York for a matchup against Cornell which they lost 1-0. They then traveled to Hamilton, New York for a game against Colgate. They once again came up just short falling to the Raiders 4-2.
The field hockey team wrapped up their season at home against Big East opponent Temple.
All that and more, only on Sports paws.
