The Quinnipiac men’s ice hockey team fell to Colgate in the ECAC semifinals, and the Bobcats will face Providence in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Our panel of hockey analysts preview Quinnipiac’s chances of getting to Philadelphia.
The NCAA Women’s Frozen Four took place at HighPoint Solutions Arena. Minnesota defeated Wisonsin in the first semifinal matchup 3-2. Next, Clarkson took down Mercyhurst by a final score of 5-1, and then two days later, the Golden Knights of Clarkson University upset Minnesota 5-4 to take home their first national championship in school history.
The women’s lacrosse team continued to search for their first win of the season and they looked to get it as hockey player, Kelly Babstock made her spring debut with the team. Analyst Arthur Bailin talks about how the team performed.
The other spring teams, including baseball, softball and tennis continued their seasons and both basketball teams competed in the first round of their respective postseason tournaments. The men’s basketball team fell to the Yale Bulldogs on a buzzer beater shot while on the women’s side, they were unable to keep up with Villanova. The seasons officially come to an end for both Tom Moore and Tricia Fabbri’s squads.
