Sports Paws: 2/28/2022

This episode of Sports Paws, former Executive Producer-duo Ryan Coope and Ethan Logue host after a busy sports-filled weekend. The two started things off on the ice, recapping Women’s Ice Hockey’s two-game sweep against Clarkson. After giving an update on the ECAC bracket, hockey beat reporter Patrick Flatley talked to Men’s Ice Hockey player Desi Burgart about what having fans back in the stands meant to the team at the Yale home game. Coope and Logue then look at the best (and feistiest) plays from men’s ice hockey’s games against Cornell and Colgate.

After the break, Coope and Logue hit the hardwood to recap Women’s Basketball’s seventh straight home win against Siena. On the other side, Men’s Basketball suffered a two-game skid with losses to Siena and Canisius. Basketball beat reporter Jon Surratt interviews men’s basketball seniors and their parents about what Quinnipiac basketball means to them. To celebrate the end of Black History Month, Jen Fay is recognized for her contributions to the Women’s Basketball program and university overall. 

To wrap up the show, Coope and Logue take a closer look at softball’s first win of the season against Sacred Heart. Baseball hits the road for the second time in a row, playing three games against a Top 10 team in the country. The show ends with everyone’s favorite, Top 5 Plays.
