After defeating the Princeton Tigers in game two of the ECAC Quarterfinals, the Quinnipiac Bobcats are moving on to the semifinals.
Quinnipiac has seen their season end in the conference semifinals in two of their last three seasons. If the Bobcats want their season to continue they’re going to have to do something that haven’t done all season, beat Harvard.
The Crimson advanced to the ECAC Semifinals after sweeping the Yale Bulldogs this weekend. The Crimson defeated the Bobcats by one goal twice this season, the Bobcats had a one goal lead in both games. Harvard is the only team that Quinnipiac has been unable to beat in ECAC play this season.
The numbers are certainly against Quinnipiac, but the head coach Rick Seeley and his team feel confident heading into the game next weekend.
“We played Harvard tough both times, we lost 2-1 at their place to and in both cases we were up one goal. We have to go in with the mentality that it’s going to be a one nothing game and understand that,” Seeley said.
The Bobcats have had their best season in program history and they certainly seemed poised to take the next step and make it to the ECAC Championship game.
