An Inside Look at the Tribeca Film Festival

Julia Schnarr attended the annual Tribeca Film Festival in New York City. She documents her day as she arrives in NYC with an inside look on the films and creators and even runs into a celebrity along the way, Laurence Fishburne.

She watches a variety of short films that include typical narrative films, music videos, and other unique content as well. The films she saw in the first section of the festival included Heart Valley, Brave by Eris, Life Rendered, Pale Ember and All Of This Unreal Time. The director of Heart Valley, Christian Cargill, provides insight into the story of the film.

The second part of the festival included viewings of The Dreamlife of Georgie Stone, Paint and Pitchfork, Santa Barbara, Elsa and Walking Two Worlds. Quannah Chasinghorse, the star of Walking Two Worlds, makes an appearance, as well as the composer for The Dreamlife of Georgie Stone, Amit May Cohen. Maia Walker, the director of Walking Two Worlds, explains her passion for creating the project.

Julia gives her reviews of the films throughout the day and recaps the inspiring experience she had attending the festival.
