By Taylor Popielarz. Quinnipiac students are battling a bitter blast of cold as arctic temperatures continue to take over most of the Northeast.
As wind chills cause temperatures to feel like they are in the single digits, or below zero, students are doing everything they can to stay warm.
“I’ve just been trying to keep myself indoors as much as I can,” junior Italo Alves said.
Many students News Team 30 spoke to say the best advice they can give for staying warm is bundling up and wearing layers.
Quinnipiac students who rely on the shuttle system to get to and from class have been experiencing the longest times outside in the freezing temperatures, due to inconsistencies in the shuttle schedule.
Some safety tips for students walking around campus and waiting for shuttle buses include wearing a down jacket that has a flap covering the zipper, wearing gloves to protect your hands, a scarf to keep your neck region warm, and a hat that covers your ears.
