Police are investigating a homicide that occurred in Hamden this afternoon.
Hamden police say they responded to a call about a dispute inside a second floor apartment at 397 Circular Avenue around 12:30 p.m. Sunday. Before police arrived, the situation escalated and shots were fired.
The victim has been identified as Larry Didly, 56, of Hamden. Didly was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital where he later died.
The location of the incident is approximately six miles from Quinnipiac University’s Mount Carmel Campus.
