According to a Public Safety officer at around 9:45 p.m. on Wednesday a student’s car overturned after hitting a curb by the guard booth on the York Hill campus. The officer reports the female student may have sustained a minor wrist injury and was the only one in the car.
Three Public Safety vehicles, three Hamden Police officers, and one ambulance reported to the scene.
In order to clear the accident, the road past the guard booth was closed. Despite the accident, shuttles continued to run from the Mount Carmel campus to the York Hill campus. Students were being picked up and dropped off in the Westview parking lot.
A tow trucked cleared the car around 10:45 p.m.
