One week removed from its third conference tournament championship in the past five years, the Quinnipiac women’s basketball team is set to play the reigning Big East Conference champion Marquette Golden Eagles on Saturday March 18 in Coral Gables, FL in the opening round of the 2017 NCAA Tournament. The game will be televised live on ESPN2 at 1:35 p.m. ET.

Overall: 27-6, 20-3 MAAC
- 10-game winning streak
- 10-4 record on the road

Best out-of-conference wins:
University of Dayton (Atlantic 10 champion, 22-9)
- 63-60 on Nov. 13 at Dayton
- Down 17 points late in the third quarter, Quinnipiac held host Dayton to just 14 points in the last 14:30 of the game. Senior captain Morgan Manz scored a season-high 19 points.
Florida Gulf Coast University (Atlantic Sun Champion, 26-8)
- 65-56 on Nov. 11 at Quinnipiac
- In the season opener, Quinnipiac’s defense was humming. The Bobcats held the Eagles to just 12 percent from deep (three-for-25).
Long Beach State University (Big West champion, 23-10)
- 63-60 on Dec. 21 in Las Vegas
- A dominant third quarter, in which the Bobcats outscored the Beach 21-10, helped the them pull away. Junior guard Carly Fabbri drilled a season-high four 3-pointers.
New Mexico State University (Western Athletic Conference champion, 24-6)
- 49-46 on Dec. 19 in Las Vegas
- In its best defensive performance of the year, Quinnipiac forced 28 NMSU turnovers. Paula Strautmane led the Bobcats with 14 points.
