Another player has joined the Quinnipiac men’s basketball recruiting class for the fall of 2020.
Luis Kortright, a 6’3″ guard out of St. Raymond High School in the Bronx, New York, committed to the Bobcats on Friday, joining the previously announced Bol Akot, Tymu Chenery, and Elias King.
Quinnipiac landed a commitment from St. Ray’s (NY) guard Luis Kortright last night. Very good late pick-up. Vastly improved in the last year. He and Bol Akot will be one of the MAAC’s top freshmen backcourts next year.

Kortright was named first-team all-state by the New York State Sports Writers Association after a season in which he averaged 20.1 points per game for the Ravens. He brings athleticism to the guard position for the Bobcats.
With the loss of Rich Kelly to Boston College, Kortright will be competing with Akot and several other players on Quinnipiac’s roster for playing time at both guard spots next season.
