Arizona State men’s ice hockey is set to visit No. 17 Quinnipiac on Jan. 27 and 28 for the second time in the program’s two years of existence. Sierra Goodwill of Q30 Sports had the chance to talk to Matt Layman, an Arizona State hockey beat reporter for State Press Sports, about the Sun Devil’s improvements since last season, rigorous schedule and their game plan in taking on the national runner-ups.
Quinnipiac enters the weekend with a record of 13-10-2 overall while Arizona State at 9-17-2. The Sun Devils are coming off two wins against Southern New Hampshire while the Bobcats will be trying to rebound from a loss against Cornell.
