Can the Quinnipiac women’s basketball team pull off the biggest upset in program history? Tuesday night Dec. 6, the Michigan State Spartans, ranked No. 22 in the USA Today Poll, come to Hamden and the TD Bank Sports Center to face the Bobcats in a highly anticipated, non-conference matchup. It’s the first time in the program’s history that the team will host a B1G opponent.
Michigan State enters the game with a 7-2 record, losses to Oregon and Syracuse, and one of the most prolific scorers in Division I women’s basketball. Tori Jankoska is averaging 23.4 points per game, which puts her at fifth in the country. The Spartans will also rely on Notre Dame transfer Taya Reimer.
To learn all about the Spartans, Morey Hershgordon spoke with Casey Harrison, Sports Editor at The State News in East Lansing, MI, about Tuesday night’s game.
