March Madness has arrived.
On Saturday afternoon BIG EAST champion and No. 5 seed Marquette Golden Eagles (25-7) face MAAC champion and No. 12 seed Quinnipiac Bobcats (27-6) in the first round of the 2017 women’s NCAA Tournament at the Watsco Center in Coral Gables, FL. The game is scheduled to start at 1:35 p.m. ET and will be televised live on ESPN2. Both teams are confident, riding significant winning streaks as Quinnipiac has won 10 straight and Marquette has won eight straight. However, winning in the big dance is much harder. The Bobcats are making just their third appearance and are winless in their first two tries. Making their 11th appearance, but first since 2011, the Golden Eagles are 4-9 all-time and have yet to reach a Sweet 16.
Below are compilations from both team’s NCAA Tournament press conferences as well as video from practice the day before the matchup.
