The Quinnipiac men’s basketball team defeated Fairfield 75-70 Saturday afternoon at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Colisium. The Bobcats held the Stags’ high-powered offense to shoot just under 34 percent from the field.
Isaiah Washington had the tall task of guarding the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference’s leading scorer, Tyler Nelson, and held him to 4-of-18 shooting from the floor. Quinnipiac had five players score in double digits despite dealing with foul trouble.
The Bobcats improve to 6-4 in the MAAC; their best start in the conference since the 2013-14 season. Q30’s Sierra Goodwill and Chris Dacey break down the win.
