With college basketball season still in the distant future, more and more teams are starting to release their schedules for the upcoming 2019-2020 season along with updating their rosters with incoming players.
The Quinnipiac men’s basketball team is no exception to this and the team’s updated roster now does not list guard/forward Travis Atson. According to reports, Atson is no longer with the program.
#Quinnipiac men’s basketball forward Travis Atson is no longer with the program, I’m told.
Atson played just one season at Quinnipiac as a redshirt sophomore this past year after transferring from Tulsa.

Atson transferred to Quinnipiac after one year of playing at Tulsa. The redshirt sophomore sat out the 2017-2018 season due to NCAA transfer rules and then played his first season with the Bobcats last year. Atson averaged just over 18 minutes per game with five points per game and three rebounds per contest.
Off-ball movement is huge for Quinnipiac. Guard Travis Atson (@CantStopTrav) starts the play on the left of the screen and once the play moves away from him, he moves towards the top of the key where Young can find him for the open three, which he hits: pic.twitter.com/iJk7rNGf7b

Atson was a part of the first recruiting class in the Baker Dunleavy era. He was joined by fellow transfer Kevin Marfo, along with Rich Kelly and Jacob Rigoni.
