After a quiet freshman year, Kenzie Lancaster has burst onto the scene as a star for Quinnipiac’s women’s ice hockey team. Through 18 games of the season, the forward has six goals on the year, all of them coming within nine games.
After tallying just one point through 32 games last year, Lancaster has filled up the stat sheet in part to her newfound chemistry with her line mates. Top goal scorers have been limited this season which has allowed Lancaster to find more opportunities.
As part of the “energy line,” Lancaster has become a more complete player for the Bobcats. A new sense of confidence has played a big part in her breakout.
Head coach Cassandra Turner knew that it was just a matter of time before Lancaster found her offensive groove.
