The Quinnipiac women’s ice hockey team unveiled its schedule for the 2016-2017 season on Wednesday. The Bobcats look to improve upon their record setting 2015-2016 campaign.

Last season the team recorded a program-high 30 wins and added ECAC regular season and tournament champions to its resume. Cassandra Turner set the NCAA record for most wins as a first year head coach in the process.

In her second season at the helm, Turner opens regular season play with eight straight non-conference games, five of which are on the road. The first regular season puck drop will come before October even arrives, as the Bobcats welcome Maine on September 30th.

Highlighting non-conference play for the Bobcats is a home and home series with the national runner-ups, Boston College. The Eagles lost only one game last season, coming at the hands of Minnesota in the national championship game, to finish the season 40-1 (24-0 Hockey East).

It is not until almost Halloween that the Bobcats play their first conference game. ECAC play commences on October 28 against rival Yale at Ingalls Rink in New Haven, Connecticut.

Come November, the Bobcats will host the Nutmeg Classic at High Point Solutions arena. Yale, UConn, and Merrimack will come to Hamden to play in the Thanksgiving Weekend tournament.

Turner and the Bobcats round out the regular season at home, welcoming RPI and Brown to Hamden the 17 and 18 of February, respectively.
