Q30 Newscast: 4/17/19

This week on the Q30 Newscast President Olian announced three university officials will be leaving Quinnipiac. Lynn Bushnell, vice president for public affairs, will be retiring June 2019. Don Weinbach, vice president for development and alumni, is retiring in June 2020. Greg Eichhorn, vice president for admissions and financial aid, is also leaving the university.

Cali Kees investigated a suspicious man walking onto campus, which had students feeling concerned about campus safety. The man identified as Matthew Allen, who was trying to get students to try bang energy powder. Once multiple calls were made to public safety, Allen was escorted off the campus by Hamden police.

An officer-involved shooting in New Haven prompted residents of Hamden and New Haven to protest.

Maggie Smith gives a full weather report and shares that spring weather is finally approaching.
