Quinnipiac student arrested, illegal drugs found

Hamden Police have released a statement saying a Quinnipiac student was arrested for the possession of illegal drugs.

Officers responded to a call at the university on Jan. 30. Quinnipiac student, a 20-year-old, was taken into custody after the officers searched his car. 

The report says the student’s car was carrying 45.3 grams of marijuana, 11 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms, 9.4 grams of cocaine and 26 Xanax pills.

The student was charged with two counts of possession of narcotics, possession of marijuana, possession of hallucinogens and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

A court date is scheduled for Feb. 13  at the Meriden Superior Court in Meriden, CT.
