The long-awaited news of where Cam Young will play professionally is finally here. The former Quinnipiac guard will play in Italy for the upcoming season.

La Provincia di Como reported this morning that Young will play for Pallacanestro Cantù of the LBA (Lega Basket Serie A).

Young is heading to Italy today to join the team.

The scoring-machine will join a youthful squad with Cantù. Only one player on the team is over the age of 25. Young, 23, will be the third rookie on this year’s roster and the sixth player from the U.S.

The former Bobcat worked out for multiple teams before the 2019 NBA Draft, including with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Portland Trail Blazers, Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets.

Young led the Bobcats in scoring the last two seasons. He played three seasons at Quinnipiac after transferring from Arizona Western College before the 2016-17 season. The Los Angeles-native was the MAAC’s leading scorer last season (23.5 points per game).
