As the Quinnipiac men’s soccer team prepares for its Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference semifinal match with Fairfield Thursday, four Bobcats will have new accolades on their resume.

The MAAC announced its annual all-conference honors Tuesday night, with freshman midfielder Paulo Soares placing on the All-MAAC Rookie Team.

Junior forward Rashawn Dally, sophomore defender Conor McCoy and graduate midfielder James Doig were named to the All-MAAC Second Team.

Dally scored five goals in the regular season, all in MAAC play, while McCoy has spearheaded a strong Bobcats defense, ranked third in the conference. Doig has been Quinnipiac’s glue in midfield for years, while also breaking the program record for most career wins.

The Bobcats also placed nine players on the MAAC All-Academic team.

Quinnipiac has won five of its last six games, including a 1-0 victory at Manhattan on Sunday in the MAAC quarterfinals.

Kickoff against Fairfield is set for 7 p.m.
