Quinnipiac to play UConn in NCAA men’s soccer tournament

The Quinnipiac University Bobcats will take on the University of Connecticut Huskies in the first round of the NCAA men’s soccer tournament. The match will be held on Nov. 21 in Storrs, Conn.

Kevin Noonan previews the upcoming matchup between the Bobcats and the Huskies. Quinnipiac is making its first appearance in the NCAA men’s soccer tournament.

The Bobcats went 9-4-7 overall and are coming off of a victory in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship. Quinnipiac defeated Monmouth University in penalty kicks 4-3.

The UConn Huskies are coming in to the tournament with an overall record of 11-2-6. The Huskies finished second in the American Athletic Conference and ended the regular season as the only team without a conference loss. UConn would suffer a loss in the conference championship match to the University of South Florida.

The winner of this first round matchup would then make a date to play No. 16 seed UMBC Retrievers on Nov. 24.
