On Sunday at the Xfinity Center, the Quinnipiac women’s basketball team (1-3, 0-0 MAAC) lost to the No.9 Maryland Terrapins (5-1, 0-0 Big Ten) by a score of 107-52. The leading scorer for the Bobcats was Cur’Tiera Haywood with nine points. For the Terrapins, Shakira Austin and Ashley Owusu would have 16 and 19, respectively.

In the loss, sophomore guard Mackenzie DeWees made her return to her home state in Maryland. She would have seven points on the game with her friends and family watching. Her and Tricia Fabbri talked about her return to Maryland after the game.
