Sports Paws: 10/12/20


This week’s episode of Sports Paws was hosted by Jack Main and Katie O’Keefe.

Jack and Katie began the episode by diving straight into the MLB playoffs by recapping the divisional series and provided an updated bracket and preview of what is to come in the league championship series.

Jack and Katie were then joined by Gage Kilborne in the studio who provided his league MVP’s of the playoffs so far and gave his prediction for both league championship match-ups between the Rays and Astros, and the Dodgers and Braves. 

Quinnipiac men’s ice hockey first-year Ty Smilanic made program history this week when he was drafted 74th overall by the Florida Panthers in this year’s NHL Entry Draft. Ryan Coope talked to Smilanic and head coach Rand Pecknold following the draft.

Jack and Katie were then joined by Steve Pappas in the studio who talked about what to expect from Smilanic in his first year in the program. Steve also recapped the NHL Draft and gave his draft winners and losers.

It was another Sunday full of NFL football as Jack and Katie provided highlights from games around the league and provided an updated look at the NFC and AFC standings.

This week’s episode concluded with highlights and summaries from the NBA and WNBA Finals and a look ahead at the local games taking place this upcoming week.
