Meanwhile the men’s team took on rival No. 10 UMass Amherst in a home-home series losing in game one in Hamden 3-0, but taking game two at UMass, 2-1.

The women’s basketball team took a road trip down south to play No. 4 Maryland. Maryland took the game handedly 107-52.  The trip was not a total loss for Mackenzie Dewees, who made a homecoming playing in her home state. Q30 Sports, Jon Surrat was there to cover the story.

After the holiday, the women took on Harvard in Hamden, but fell short in that game as well 77-68.
